Welcome to Punk Rock Bass Tabs!
I go by the nickname of Geriatric_Punk. I am a 55 years old weekend bass warrior. I play, I compose, I tab/chordify… and I’m mostly self-taught. I even record a bit of my racket in my little corner of home studio. I don’t play live much. But I’m always looking up for people to jam with. I got a soft spot for 70s-80s punk rock & hardcore. I’ve grown up along with a young punk scene: Ramones, D.R.I., Suicidal Tendencies, Dayglo Abortions, The Exploited, Discharge, Agnostic Front, etc. I even saw a few of them onstage, including shows from my local scene at the time too. I’ll try to bring some relatively obscure bands and songs I grew up with.
Yeah, I’m that old.
And this site is the result of the world’s covid-19 lockdown btw. Idle hands… 😉

I hope I won’t annoy you with my blah blah blahs. Expect some, of course. The goal here is to bring to punk rock bass players tabs that are the less faulty and, from time to time, tab myself all those who are cruelly missing on the interweb. Well, maybe not all of them. A few. All in one place: HERE. Call it my bucket list. 👴

Tabbing (or chordifying) is some sort of a Dark Art, and I pretend not to be a Warlock either. There must be some errors left in my tabs. I have no magic wand. I use my ears, my basic knowledge of scales, and my Circle of Fifth (or other tools too). And my cheapass bass guitar, of course.
The tabs/chord sheet I host are what I play. And I sure hope it won’t be a time-waster. Who likes to visit a bunch of websites only to be disappointed with the tabs? Too many times.
One rule only: If my ears say ‘ok’ then it’s ‘ok’ to me… with a bit of regard to basic music theory. Maybe a more skilled bassist will hear something else and that’s ok. Tabs are punk AF: pure DIY stuff. My DIY may become your next DIY project! And the other way around. We all share stuff! 🛠
